The Business and Marketing Department offers a variety of programs and courses to help prepare students for college degrees and career fields in the business arena. FBLA offers a differentiated and application-based curriculum for students pursuing a career focus in a business program, bringing relevance and real-world connections to the classroom. The department is working to increase the number of industry certifications achieved by Caddo Hills students. It is the mission of Business and Marketing that every student who completes a business program of study has the skills and credentials to achieve a successful career in their chosen field.

Survey of Business - LEVEL 1 -

The Survey of Business is a two-semester course. It is designed to introduce students to business and marketing programs of study and related technology to help students succeed in business and marketing careers. The clusters and related programs of study are Business Management & Administration: Management, Medical Office Administration, and Office Administration; Finance: Accounting, Banking, and Business Finance; Hospitality and Tourism: Hospitality and Tourism; Marketing, Sales and Service: MarketingBusiness Enterprise, Digital Marketing, and Retail Management; and Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics: SupplyChain and Logistics. Using industry-recognized software, students will focus on skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and cloud computing as they relate to business and marketing careers. This course will focus on skills needed to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications.

Marketing Business Enterprise - LEVEL 2 -

 is a one-year course designed to offer an overview of the American business enterprise system. A study of various forms of ownership, internal organization, management functions, and financing as they relate to business. The course content focuses on the aspects of marketing and managing a small business enterprise; risk management; the use of technology; legal, ethical, and social obligations of businesses; savings and investments; taxes, and government. If you want to run your own business, this is the program for you!

Small Business Operations - LEVEL 3 –

Small Business Ops is designed for students interested in learning how to manage a small business. Students will be required to participate in laboratory work. The lab experience will consist of operating a School-Based Enterprise (SBE) Natives Supply & Co. In addition to the lab work, students will also completea series of lessons designed to prepare them for the transition to higher education and/or an entrepreneurial career.
